Kettlebell Juggling Faceoff with Andrew Durniat

I was there at the Atomic Athletic Strongman Picnic to pull a fire truck with my hair. Once that was complete it was all fun and games.

I had interviewed Andrew Durniat before (it’s one of the bonus calls you get with The Definitive Guide to Kettlebell Juggling) but this was the first time we got to meet in person. Andrew is excellent in his kettlebell juggling skills (not to mention barbell, stone lock or plate juggling) so we decided to have a faceoff.

If you’re familiar with the basketball game HORSE then you know how this went. One person does a trick then the other tries to replicate it. Back and forth. In the end we didn’t keep score cause we were just having too much fun. Here’s a short clip below.

For Member’s Only

For member’s here I uploaded the complete video (almost 20 minutes!) with a play-by-play commentary. Make sure you’re logged in and the video should appear below. (This is the first time trying this so if there are any issues let me know and I’ll get them fixed ASAP.)

Playing a game of HORSE with a friend is a sure way to improve your skills fast. The challenge (especially when you have a screaming crowd) will force you to get better.

In strength,
Logan Christopher

Cool but is it harder on your body than just “plain” kettlebells?

Randy, juggling is harder (more difficult) in general then swings but it depends on the moves.

Dale we weren’t really keeping score. Andrew and I both had moves one of us could do but the other couldn’t.

Cool moves. Your kettlebells look as beat up as mine are. Nice work.

@Joe: Actually those were Andrew’s bells. Lots of good use went into chipping off about half the paint.
